人生路上遇知己,实乃一大幸事也!❤️🍀 Experience is the only thing that brings knowledge, and the longer you are on earth the more experience you are sure to get.🌹🍵 There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. True courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty.💕💐
This is my first time reading an entire book in English, and I feel excited and proud of myself. Without a doubt, anything is achievable if you dare to try, and taking action will lead you to good results. As for this story, I first read it when I was very young, thanks to its beautiful Chinese translated title The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. To this day, I still remember the core message of the book: it is a story about "what do we pursue in life?" Deep down, everyone has something they ultimately strive for. In this tale, the girl longs to return home to her family, the Tin Woodman wishes for a heart, the Scarecrow desires a brain, and the Cowardly Lion craves courage. Their dreams bind them together as the closest partners—they help one another, and in the process, they each grow and transform. Oz is the target they set out to find, yet every challenge they face and overcome on their journey brings them one step closer to their goals. Additionally, this story makes us reflect more deeply on the meaning of power. We all want to be powerful because power can bring us many benefits, but we rarely think about where power originates, how it is gained, or why some people possess it. Oz creates an illusion of magic to make himself seem formidable, and everyone reveres him—yet he is merely a fraud. This teaches us that power or prestige is just a tool; those who master it may gain great advantages, so we need not fear it. Finally, we must always recognize the importance of companionship. Friends help us become better versions of ourselves. Though we may have to part ways someday, we will always cherish the time we spent together and the experiences we shared.
Some books are so well-known practically every person who has even a very brief knowledge of general literature knows that these books are about. In the light of this, I really have no clue why I would bother to outline the plot of this one, but just in case somebody managed to miss it here goes. A little girl is transported into a magical land where she meets all kinds of magical creatures. She goes to visit the greatest wizard of the land hoping he would help her to get home. I think the book is better than the classic movie. Judy Garland was great. Some of the songs were equally great. but I insist the book is still better and some chat is very interesting to me, like the following passage: "So she told him all about Kansas, and how gray everything was there, and how the cyclone had carried her to this queer land of Oz. The Scarecrow listened carefully, and said, "I cannot understand why you should wish to leave this beautiful country and go back to the dry, gray place you call Kansas." "That is because you have no brains," answered the girl. "No matter how dreary and gray our homes are, we people of flesh and blood would rather live there than in any other country, be it ever so beautiful. There is no place like home."(Gospel) The Scarecrow sighed. "Of course I cannot understand it," he said. "If your heads were stuffed with straw, like mine, you would probably all live in the beautiful places, and then Kansas would have no people at all. It is fortunate for Kansas that you have brains." (somehow interesting, for some reason many people move out their homeland to chase that beautiful places they thought. ) My niece and I just finished reading this book, We all loved it differently, but equally. There's certainly a reason it is considered a classic and it does not disappoint on any level.
