很有趣，隨便翻翻就看了很多頁了。並且還意猶未盡的，感覺這將是一本我大學畢業以後還能看完的爲數不多的英語書了。

學到了一些有意思地道的英文表達，可以摘抄下來，口語中運用起來。愛看美劇的朋友，裏面有些表達應該很熟悉。

讀起來很輕鬆容易，但是出現印刷錯誤，閱讀時要格外注意，否則會吸取錯誤信息。暫時注意到的有： 232 play second fiddle 和 play the first fiddle。雖然之前學的是序數詞前加the，但這個表達我查了下Google，first 和 second 前不需要加the。 260 裏的break釋義爲：an opportunity to do sth, usually to get sth that you want or to achieve success 機會；機遇。例句：I got my lucky break when I won a 'Young Journalist of the Year' competition.我時來運轉，在 “年度最佳青年記者” 競賽中取勝。 但是Give me a break更普遍的用法：used when sb wants sb else to stop doing or saying sth that is annoying, or to stop saying sth that is not true 別煩我了；別胡說了。所以使用時需注意，避免誤解。 319 self-shots自拍。感覺現在的年輕人更喜歡用：selfie。 331: flagrant 這裏的“臭”與氣味無關。與fragrant不對立。 346 印刷錯誤 pass the buck 349 印刷錯誤 dirty-cheap 364 印刷錯誤 burn the candle at both ends不是durn

有趣而且很短小，隨便翻翻就看完了，沒有閱讀負擔。 作者是做外貿的，積攢了很多日常用語，都是些平常可以用到的短語和詞彙。比看單詞書要生動些。 有些表達可能地域性比較強，比如作者說的一些美式表達，其實也只流行於作者打交道的幾個州甚至僅限於那個圈子。但是大多都比較準確了，看到這些不一定要使用，別人使用的時候可以理解不至於有歧義就已經實現了閱讀本書的意義。

在歐美髮達國家，銀行往往在公共假期是休息的，大家不能去銀行辦理任何業務，要等到working day（工作日）纔行。所以大家就用“連銀行都放假”來表示“公共假期來了”。
