#百科通識文庫之51 #《聖經》專題之1 #《聖經縱覽》 外研社的這套《百科通識文庫》其實就是牛津大學出版的那套 A Very Short Introduction, 譯林出版社出了近200本《牛津通識讀本》，我在微信讀書中讀完了在線的151本，加上外研社這套54本，共205本。在這套《牛津通識讀本》結束之際，今天新開始一個專題：猶太、基督、伊斯蘭三大一神教的正典《聖經》。 聖經是迄今爲止世界上發行量最大的讀物，1815至1975年共發行25億冊，1998年發行20,751,515冊。在當今世界的6,500種語言中，《聖經》的部分經卷已被譯成2,212種語言，《聖經》全書則被譯成350多種語言。 先說亞伯拉罕一神教。在人類文明早期，崇拜的是山川、河流、雷鳴、閃電等自然界中具體的事物，這稱爲“自然崇拜”。後逐漸演化爲多神教，玉帝、王母、宙斯、阿波羅等等。而在中東猶太人聚居區誕生了一神教，耶和華（上帝/安拉）是唯一的神。 聖經又兩部分組成，上半部分講上帝通過摩西與猶太人的約定，稱爲《聖經·舊約》，下半部分講上帝通過耶穌與基督徒的約定，稱爲《聖經·新約》。舊約源自猶太人彙編整理公元前1000年至公元前200年的典籍，定稿爲希伯來《聖經》。而新約源自保羅等耶穌的弟子收集彙編的耶穌言行語錄，有點像子貢等孔門弟子彙編整理孔子言行對話而得《論語》。 值得一提的是，雖然基督教雖源自猶太教，但兩者關係並不和諧。原因很簡單，耶穌本是猶太人，猶太教僅限於猶太人信仰。但耶穌擅自擴大了教義，使得所有信奉耶和華的人均可成爲受神庇佑的基督徒，這才正統猶太人眼中，無疑是大逆不道的異端。於是他被猶太長老們送上了羅馬總督的十字架。在教義上，猶太人只信《舊約》，而基督徒信舊約和新約，伊斯蘭教除了舊約和新約外，還要外加《古蘭經》。因此我們可以看到很多聖經人物以不同的名字出現在基督教世界和伊斯蘭教世界中，如： 亞伯拉罕：易卜拉欣 以實瑪利：伊斯瑪儀 所羅門：蘇萊曼 摩西：穆薩 以撒：伊斯哈格 雅各：葉爾孤白 約翰：葉哈雅 大衛：達伍德 約瑟夫：尤素福 看來，我們那位難纏的小夥伴還有個名字叫以撒，就是那個差點被虔誠的老父親亞伯拉罕殺死獻祭耶和華的那個小夥子。幾個月前跟一位上校聊天，說到伊斯蘭教的宰牲節，他說就是爲了紀念神用羔羊換下了祭臺上的以撒，以表彰亞伯拉罕的忠誠。 寫得太多了，展開講說不完，就這樣吧。

▉《聖經》爲人類思想、文學和藝術中某些具有紀念碑意義的作品提供了靈感，同時也滋生了人類某些最惡劣的野蠻、自私和偏狹（如：屠殺迦南人等，爲殖民屠殺找到合理化依據。以聖戰的名義十字軍東征，獵殺女巫，以異端的名義黨同伐異，仇恨科學燒死伽利略，淹死重洗派，殖民美洲非洲，屠殺印第安人，二戰屠殺猶太人。觸目驚心！） ▉《聖經》激發過世間男女的勇敢和奉獻行爲，鼓勵他們爲解放和人類的發展而奮鬥（如解放神學）；同時也爲那種奴役同胞、使他們陷於卑賤和貧困的社會提供了意識形態支持。（如馬克思的評論，宗教是人民的鴉片，是被壓迫者的無聲的嘆息。尼采說的是奴隸的道德。是奴隸社會弱者對強者的憤恨的產物。） ▉最近的復興體現在基督教在非洲和亞洲的迅速成長上。最重要的或許是，它提供了某種宗教和道德規範的來源，使不同的人羣能實現聯合，相互關照，彼此保護；而恰恰是這種強烈的歸屬感，又反過來激起民族的、種族的和國際性的緊張和衝突。 ▉也就是說，《聖經》既是真善美的源泉，同時又曾引起假惡醜的現象。它未曾產出的是某種一成不變的閱讀和闡釋方式。造成這種現象的原因並不複雜：文本無力控制它被閱讀的方式。 ▉《聖經》材料的豐富性，編撰過程的複雜性，隱喻、詩歌、敘事和論述的多樣性，都使我們難以指望這部著作只有一種無可爭議的閱讀方式。 ▉事實上，已經發生之事更像是打開了潘多拉的盒子：風一旦吹出來，就無法把它收回去。16世紀上半葉，歐洲將近三分之一的人口死於宗教戰爭的戰火中。 ▉這一事實的真正意味是，我們必須學會更具批判性地閱讀《聖經》。 ▉▉歷史無數次的證明了：一神論宗教因爲強烈的排他性和以選民自居的自我優越感，教條主義往往導致殘忍和戰爭。

這本書真的很簡略， 印象比較深的一點就是很多經卷有可能是不那麼被人知道的作者寫成並附會諸如大衛保羅等大先知的名字寫成的，已難以考證。 這書的基調還是很發展性的，隨着時代發展，我們對聖經的認識也在不斷深入，聖經對文化藝術流行的影響將會不斷持續。

我們必須學會更具批判性地閱讀《聖經》。我們必須更好地適應《聖經》文本中各種不同的聲音。同樣，我們還需要意識到使用《聖經》的不同方式，並學着鑑別這些不同的使用方式。

一開始覺得本書有點枯燥，差得沒讀下去。後來靜下心來讀，發現作者的一些觀點客觀而新奇，也解開了我之前對《聖經》的一些疑問。 作爲一名非基督教，我其實一直對《聖經》中的某些描寫是不能接受的，覺得和基督教的本意是矛盾的。讀了本書，反而部分理解了。一本書，一段描寫，其實可以從不同方面來解讀。能說得通，都可以接受。 《聖經》文本極其豐富，可塑性也很強，可以從各種差異很大的角度來解讀：同樣的《聖經》文本既可能讓一個民族生存，也可能使他們滅亡，這完全取決於如何來解讀。 《聖經》的意象被置於特定的情景之中：《聖經》的形象和象徵被隨意利用，在面臨可能切斷和破壞人類關係的教會和社羣中的疏離力量時，尋求整全和包容。人們在求助《聖經》時，不是把它當作一套規範來運用，而是當作一種能爲人們的生命體驗賦予形式和結構的想象性資源，可以自由地、有選擇地運用。 《聖經》正典的權威性首先且最重要在於其塑造性，它所提供的工具和意象既能奴役人，也能解放人。洞察力是不可或缺的，然而，檢驗的方式卻是實踐性的而非歷史性的。 不是基督徒，對《聖經》研究有限，但是深覺作者以上觀點是正確的。

讀《聖經故事》的視角是在旁邊看。就是看着一波又一波的人在漫長的歷史過程中今天這個明天那個。 《聖經縱覽》的視角是在上面看。並沒有超越我們的時空，但是能涵蓋更長的時間和更廣的範圍。《聖經》裏的故事既是果也是因，既能找到它們的由來，也能看到對後世的深遠影響。尤其是後者，一句經文的蝴蝶效應綿延幾百年，一段教義被反覆琢磨拉扯，同一種行爲兼容了高尚和邪惡，同一段歷史囊括了福祉和災難。信仰和理性時而纏鬥時而粘合，崇拜和批判誰也不能征服誰。它爲人們提供生存的基礎，同時又讓許多人因它喪命。沒有《聖經》很難想象世界會是什麼樣，有了也不容易理解它會讓世界變成這樣。
