When humanity was revealed and exposed by A child who is like Tom,It become humorous but tear in eyes at the same time...by the way, I am also surprised why Nobel lecture award didn't belong to this great novel?!
When one writes a novel about grown people, he knows exactly where to stop—that is, with a marriage; but when he writes of juveniles, he must stop where he best can.
"The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain is a timeless classic that explores the innocence and mischief of childhood. Through the misadventures of Tom Sawyer, Twain delves into themes of freedom, friendship, and the journey to self-discovery. One of the most striking aspects of the novel is its portrayal of the carefree spirit of youth. Tom's escapades, from playing hooky to pretending to be a pirate, capture the thrill of breaking societal norms and embracing spontaneity. However, beneath the surface of these lighthearted adventures lies a deeper exploration of the complexities of human nature. Twain paints a vivid picture of a small town along the Mississippi River, where social hierarchies and moral codes shape the lives of its inhabitants. Yet, amidst the constraints of society, Tom Sawyer embodies a sense of freedom that comes from following his own path and staying true to his adventurous spirit.
This is my first book of original copy which is spent about 12 hours. Beginning is always hard. I am persistent and confident. Reading oringal copy boost my English ability.
