I do not believe we are to be flung back into abysmal darkness by those fiercesome discoveries which human genius has made. Let us make sure that they are servants, but not our masters. I do not believe that we are to be flung back into abysmal darkness of fierce some discoveries which human genius has made let us make sure that they are our servants, but not our masters.

I am not good at it. To do it well seems to me one of the most difficult things in the world, and probably seems so to you, too.   We all thirst for the love of others, that they go out of their way to avoid harming us and to do good to us. This is the meaning of true love, to give until it hurts.

Cultivate poverty like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old, return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts.

It's very useful to augument one's size of words and lift one's level of appreciation.

Amazing and wonderful book
