1892年,由M.A.
pps.
What is done can't be undone. So come on and go on.
it is considered a canonical piece of children's literature and has inspired hundreds of new editions, stage plays, merchandising and movies, such as Walt Disney's iconic animated version and commonplace ideas such as a liar's long nose. According to extensive research done by the Fondazione Nazionale Cario Collodi in late 1990s and based on UNESCO sources, it has been adapted in over 260 languages worldwide. That makes it the most translated non-religious book in the world, and one of the best-selling book sever published. In recent years, the book has sold over 80 million copies, while the precise total sales arc unknown because of the many public domain re-releases since 1940. According to Francelia Butler, it remains "the most translated Italian book and, after the Bible, the most widely read".
Pinocchio was a marionette crafted from a piece of firewood. He is naughty and innocent about the world, making a lot of mistakes and getting into various troubles. In the process he aquired valuable lessons about famiy, friendship, trust and courage, as well as the significance of work and study. Eventually he grew into a real boy. His transformation was a testament to the power of learning, hard work and personal growth. If I have to say, the only thing that I believe this book needs some refinement is to minimize the explicitly boy-centric gender context when delivering its profound message that is considered to be universally applied regardless of gender, age or races. The reason I'm highlighting this is that in the process of reading this books, I have frequently noticed some gender-specific descriptions in those classic meaningful lines which is also what I mostly cherish about this book even as an adult reader. By making these adjustments, I'm confident that this adventure book can potentially break down certain gender stereotypes or clear up any misunderstandings, encouraging more children of all genders to be emotionally connected with the stories and find resonance with their own life experiences.
He took them with him to the Land of Toys and let them enjoy themselves to their heart's content. When, after months of all play and no work, they became little donkeys, he sold them on the market place. In a few years, he had become a millionaire. “Do you think, perhaps, my little Donkey, that I have brought you here only to give you food and drink? Oh, no! You are to help me earn some fine gold pieces, do you hear? ”
The only word I want to talk about the book is 'Brilliant'. When I first heard 'Pinocchio' from a girl--I called her 'two mouths'--I asked her stupidly:'Who is Pinocchio?'with a naive look. Now everything has gone with the wind,I just want to tell myself then'How silly you are!'
