The sky,the ocean, the skiff, the gears, the great fish and the sharks. For me it's more like Describing someone's interior world. Someone might know you, but they can't help you for your internal fight in your head, The coast guard was trying to search him.the the young boy cares about him,but no one can really help him.what he can rely on is only himself and His determination and he was never defeated!
Struggling, accepting, calm It is neither lucky nor unlucky, nor even a tragic life.
a man can be destroyed but not defeated
I have just finished reading The Old Man and the Sea. Long before that, I already knew the story, but I hadn’t read it for many years. I knew that the old man sailed alone into the sea to catch a big fish and that it was a tough voyage. But I didn’t know what happened after he caught the fish. I read a comment from a reader on WeChat Reading: “When I was young, I hoped the old man would catch the fish. But as I got older, I came to admire the old man for fighting hard against the sharks, even though he was losing part of the fish.” And I want to ask a further question. The old man took the skeleton of the fish home, so people knew what he had experienced. He still got people’s respect and admiration. But in the real world, there are so many tough voyages like the one in The Old Man and the Sea that are happening in people’s lives, but they are never seen by others. The only person who knows about them is the person who experienced them. Those people are not only struggling to accept their losses, but also have to face misunderstanding or even humiliation from others.
1:Once there had been a tinted photograph of his wife on the wall but he had taken it down because it made him too lonely to see it and it was on the shelf in the corner under his clean shirt. 2:They walked up the road together to the old man's shack ……The shack was made of the tough bud-shields of the royal palm which are called guano and in it there was a bed, a table, one chair, and a place on the dirt floor to cook with charcoal.
