Lost horizon（消失的地平线）（英文版）

多年前读过并引起我对藏区向往的第一本书，那是一个想象中的乌托邦，那里有神圣的雪山、宁静的湖泊、美丽的草原、庄严的庙宇，那里远离世间的一切繁杂和是非，在那里，你能找到属于自己的一片宁静，可以尽情做自己喜欢的事情，不管是学习异族语言，弹奏古老乐器，还是牧羊种地，静坐冥想，生活总可以悠然自得，无忧无虑。那样的净土，只存在于精神世界里的"别处"，存在于作者理想中的"香格里拉"。犹记当年第一次读到该书中文版时的热血沸腾，憧憬无限。然后多年后的现在，我却只愿待在这个纷扰却割舍不下的，有血有肉，有苦有乐，能哭能笑的尘世。

一开始以为是一部战事小说，然后变成了人物传记，奇闻异事，一个自传，一个传奇…全都是也全都不是，奇妙的混合产生难以描述的吸引力。Things shall be viewed in moderation, even moderation itself. 无穷哲思

还是挺admire blue moon这种moderate的处世观的，人的生死是受心境和身体器官运作的影响的。死亡的原因无外乎生意器官衰竭无法继续运作造成。如果处在blue moon这种空气纯净无污染的环境之中，同事保持这种平静得心态，活个一两百年倒也是可能。

Where you are where is the ultimate Shangri-la![可爱][可爱][可爱] It's been a long hours ,after completing the story, that my heart can't be calming down and I can't hold on my mind not to shuffle through those mountains of Tibetan-Plateau. A picture has been slowly stretching in my brain and remains suspending without going away. While darkness is falling down and sky screen is hunging up slowly and faintly, mysight going through a window, the Karalar stands under the moon which is bright  with light halo arounding, on the peak of the triangle there's pure white snow covering silently, among the tiny gaps of green leaves on the top of tree, spot spot star light on dark water surface mimicking the moon light of the surrounding while Blue Moon Lake is flowing slightly. The story, i believe, sounds like a fiction and the High Lama would be ghost that you don't know the legend of Shangri-La is true or not,particularly that about Ever-young. It's , however, possibly reasonable that you may live in two worlds among which one is the real society and the other is floating in your heart with moderation and idealism in it. I really appreciate the say given by Barnard that briefly means you never differentiate which one is prison, outside or inside? The last the love story is quite interestin as well among the three, Conway, Mallinson,and Lo-Tsen. There are too many mysteries and miracles in the story but I mark the book same score as <the kite runner > without any hesitate. A charming and attractive story!

The novel depicts a hidden paradise in southwest China's Pure Land - filled with peaceful, quiet, eternal and mysterious Tibetan interest-bearing land. The novel, the author paints a beautiful kingdom. , Where three rivers meet together, mountains and towering, snow-capped peak, at the foot of the deep grass into Yin, covering the earth. By the time World War I, the Great Depression, the U.S. economy, global exploration into the heat of the characters in the book. At that time people is reflected in the pursuit of their own hearts Shangri-La. The novel thrills, excitement, bizarre, dramatic. Even more unusual is that, reading the novel will be a body, mind and soul experience. Perhaps the departure of Conway is a pity, if it is I am afraid I will always Zhuxia Qu, forever ... ... "Shangri-La" This is only the hearts of the Pure Land Author synonymous with a nominal land, no one can identify the authenticity of his find out the truth, but these are good enough, just like the text said, "She's more calm atmosphere , her sense of mystery the more stirring people's hearts, and the whole feeling is very pleasant and euphoric. Nice writing. 记得小时候某个周末，中央台播放了一部电影，讲述了一艘载有敌对双方人员的潜艇因缘巧合通过地下水道抵达陌生陆地后发生的系列故事。其中，有史前时代繁衍未绝的恐龙，有处于从低到高进化的类人部落，十分引人入胜。可惜没等看完就赶上停电了，之后就再没有播放过。 直到有了互联网，我通过不懈努力确认了该电影的名字，又花了一周多时间才通过Emule下载并珍藏起来，算是了却了多年来的一桩心愿。只是不知道书中的Conway是否最终也能如愿以偿。 对了，想起这部电影是因为它的名字也正好是我对于本书的读后感，The land that time forgot.

Interesting book, but the end of the story is not so satisfying. I just can’t understand why Conway sacrifices his own happiness for the sake of a quick-tempered, willful man, if he is that wise as depicted in this book, for apparently he loves the lifestyle in Shangri-La, it is the kind of life he wants but can’t find in the outside world. What a charming thing to have a long life and be always youthful, and you have plenty of time to do whatever you want!

这本经典小说意外走红:二十年前为了搜集欢乐谷香格里拉分区设计资料，接触这本书；后来去西宁、丽江和香格里拉旅游，体验了真实的地理场景和人文风情；这本小说灵感来源于探险家约瑟夫·洛克，今天位于波士顿南部的阿诺德植物园，保留了许多洛克在＂香格里拉＂采集的植物样板本。

很棒的一本书。书中有东西方文化的冲突，有人生观世界观的冲突，也有人性的冲突。一，东西方文化的冲突。自古以来，中国人就十分推崇中庸，崇尚儒雅，书中寺庙的人对Conway一行人的热心接待及贴心服务充分提现了这一点。西方人讲求效率，Mallison火急火燎地想探求事实的真相，想知道事情发生的原因，一门心思想离开他所认为的如地狱般的蓝月亮谷。然而，作者并没有亲身经历体验过中国人的为人处世之道，书中对中国人所认可的中庸适度原则的描写，未免有失偏颇。二，有人生观和世界观的冲突。书中描写，香格里拉的居民追求“出世”，希望可以避开他们所预言的灭世大战，以此来保存所有的文化遗产，惠济后人。而书中的Mallison和Conway，则是典型的西方人。他们追求“入世”，鼓励追求梦想，直面人生的挫折。三，有人性的冲突。关于书中唯一的女性的命运。她到底是如何到达蓝月亮谷的，又为什么对自己的遭遇闭口不谈，再者，离开蓝月亮谷的她后来又怎么样了，所有的这些我们都不得而知。寺庙的人和Mallison对她来历的说法大有不同，不论谁对谁错，都是对人性的一种考验。 作为一本出名的作品，这本书自然有其独到之处。对于此书，还是有很多不理解的地方。如，作者为什么将这本小说取名为Lost Horizon。 总而言之，人活着，趁年轻的时候，还是要勇于追求自己想追求的，这样，才不悔自己的青春，这样，迟暮之时，回首往事，才不会觉得遗憾。
