2025年3月14日 星期五 祝福早安 天气阴雨 气温7℃《感谢岁月曾经来过》 Cherry blossoms form clouds, peach flowers glow like sunset hues, and magnolias raise their pristine cups. Parks and mountain trails drown in floral waves, the air thick with fragrance. Visitors pause to capture fleeting beauty in photos. Never Sink Into Blue Days Everybody has blue days. These are miserable days when you feel lousy, grumpy, lonely, and utterly exhausted. Days when you feel small and insignificant, when everything seems just out of reach. You can't rise to the occasion. Just getting started seems impossible. On blue days you can become paranoid that everyone is out to get you. This is not always such a bad thing. You feel frustrated and anxious, which can induce a nail-biting frenzy that can escalate into a triple-choco-late-mud-cake-eating frenzy in a blink of an eye! On blue days you feel like you're floating in an ocean of sadness. You're about to burst into tears at any moment and you don't even know why. Ultimately, you feel like you're wandering through life without purpose. You're not sure how much longer you can hang on, and you feel like shouting, “Will someone please shout me! ” It doesn't take much to bring on a blue day. You might just wake up not feeling or looking your best, but finding some new wrinkles, putting on a little weight, or getting a huge pimple on your nose. You could forget your date's name or have an embarrassing photograph published. You migh t get dumped, divorced, or fired, make a fool of yourself in public, be afflicted with a demeaning nickname, or just have a plain old bad-hair day. Maybe work is a pain in the butt. You're under major pressure to fill someone else's shoes, your boss is picking on you, and everyone in the office is driving you crazy. You might have a splitting headache, or a slipped dish, or bad breath, a toothache, chronic gas, dry lips, or a nasty ingrown toenail. Whatever the reason, you're convinced that someone up there doesn't like you. Oh what to do, what to do? Well, if you're like most people, you'll hide behind a flimsy belief that everything will sort itself out. Then you'll spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder, waiting for everything to go wrong all over again. All the while becoming crusty and cynical or a pathetic, sniveling victim. Until you get so depressed that you lie down and beg the earth to swallow you up or, even worse, become addicted to Billy Joel songs. This is crazy, because you're only young once and you're never old twice. Six Inches'Fear A man walking in the night slipped from a rock. Afraid that he would fall down thousands of feet, because he knew that place was a very deep valley, he took hold of a branch that was hanging over the rock. In the night all he could see was a bottomless abyss. He shouted, his own shout reflected back—there was nobody to hear. You can imagine that man and his whole night of scare. Every moment there was death, his hands were becoming cold, he was losing his grip...and as the sun came out he looked down and he laughed. There was no abyss. Just six inches down there was a rock. He could have rested the whole night, slept well—the rock was big enough—but the whole night was a nightmare. Fear is only six inches deep. Now it is up to you whether you want to go on cling to the branch and turn your life into a nightmare, or whether you would love to leave the branch and stand on your feet. Riders on the Earth Together Each moment in history is a fleeting time, precious and unique. But some stand out as moments of beginning, in which courses are set that shape decades or centuries. This can be such a moment. Forces now are converging that make possible, for the first time, the hope that many of man's deepest wishes can at last be realized... As the Apollo astronauts flew over the moon's gray surface on Christmas Eve, they spoke to us of the beauty of earth—and in that voice so clear across the lunar distance, we heard them invoke God's blessing on its goodness. In that moment, their view from the moon moved poet Archibald MacLeish to write:“To see the earth as it truly is, small and blue and beautiful in that eternal silence where it floats, is to see ourselves as riders on the earth together, brothers on that bright loveliness in the eternal cold—brothers who know now they are truly brothers.”... Our destiny offers, not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity. So let us seize it, not in fear, but in gladness—and, “Riders on the earth together”, let us go forward, firm in our faith, steadfast in our purpose, cautious of the dangers; but sustained by our confidence in the will of God and the promise of man. Setting Your Heart Free In the spring of life, In the flower of youth, Everything is bright and new. In the summer of life, Time of growth and change, Each day brings new dreams to pursue. In the autumn of life, There's a settling down— Contentment and sureness in what we do. In the winter of life, Comes peace and wisdom, Time to relax and reminisce, too... But with the passing of these seasons, Life is still not done, not through, For there is yet another season. When each spirit is renewed. And it is in this calm fifth season, In this hopeful second spring, A time of cleansing and rebirth, A time of new awakening; Each person's life will come full circle, Even as the seasons do; To start another, different life, Much better than the one we knew. Do You Have a Confident Jar A Lesson in Life Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, they serve some sort of purpose, to teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be—your roommate, neighbor, professor, long lost friend, lover or even a complete stranger. When you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you and at the time they may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles, you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart. Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity—all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they are events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet who affect your life and the successes and downfalls you experience—they are the ones who create who you are. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. Those lessons are the hardest and probably the most important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you how to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them. Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either. You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it. “People are like tea bags—you have to put them in hot water before you know how strong they are.”
