簡·愛（英文原版）Jane Eyre

讀完之後竟然會這麼平靜，可能是在讀到St.John那部分的時候已經把比較尖銳的感情抒發完了。 再讀到Jane和Rochester的愛情時彷彿一切都是那麼順理成章。此時的Jane經濟獨立，不用依附任何人，而Rochester經歷了那場災難後受傷失明，失去了一種掌控狀態。Rochester年輕時在感情中的迷茫也讓他付出了代價（我完全不會試圖去理解年輕時的Rochester），直至愛上Jane 他才真正懂得了如何自愛如何愛人 。此時的他倆是處在對等的位置上的，所以愛情就那麼順其自然的發生了。 Do you think I can stay to become nothing to you? Do you think I am an automaton?—a machine without feelings? and can bear to have my morsel of bread snatched from my lips, and my drop of living water dashed from my cup? Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! — I have as much soul as you, — and full as much heart! And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you. I am not talking to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh; — it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God’s feet, equal, — as we are!” 這段被長久以來反覆提及的名句，在讀完整部作品後理解也許更加深刻了。它不只是獨立宣言，更是平等宣言。Rochester想擁有Jane，John想使用Jane，她拒絕的從來不是一個男人，而是整個以男性爲主體的敘事結構。 Charlotte Bronte告訴我們，女性從來不是必須溫順、依附於他人的，你可以尖銳，面對童年權威家長的不公對待可以憤怒，面對Rochester和John時可以拒絕。（當時）男性的墮落可以被理解，而女性卻被美德所束縛。整部作品都是以Jane第一人稱寫就的，哇塞作者深處當時的社會真的很大膽。我作爲女性，我不是被敘述的對象，我是敘述者，我自有自己的靈魂來看世界。 你可以反駁說最後Jane不還是走進了婚姻，但是從Jane拒絕➡️成長➡️重新回到愛情，這完全打破了當時傳統的敘事結構。“女性應該成爲什麼樣的人”到“女性可以自己決定成爲什麼樣的人”的轉變，太前衛了，Charlotte，你覺得時代跟上你了嗎。 I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will.

The first time I read it, I thought it was pretty average. The writing is very good, but the plot is cliché. I’ll see if I gain any new insights when I read it a second time. (Gonna write book reviews in English, these stupid head always try to announce their existence, didn't read too much book so they have no idea what respect is🙄. but back again, they don't know english too much, when i write in english, they won't be able to comment with nonsense.🤭

如果只是想看原文的話，不要看這本了，句子和標點符號之間太亂了，想畫一個分號後面的單詞，它會將 分號前面的單詞、分號、分號後面的單詞全部畫出來。雖說可能無傷大雅，但是畢竟耗時。

很喜歡簡.愛的性格，但是英文版語言有點難理解呢加油吧認真學
