I’d still say you’ve got to read the original English version of Pride and Prejudice. A lot of editions—especially those bilingual ones on WeRead—are just… not it. They mix Chinese and English in the most awkward way and totally butcher the flow. Honestly, the translations often feel stiff and really mess up that smooth, elegant reading experience. So consider this a strong push to go straight to the original. The language, the wit, the way Jane Austen brings Elizabeth to life—it’s all just so much more vibrant and charming in English. Once you read it, you’ll fall for Elizabeth, too. No one escapes her charm!
